The president of the 80th anniversary of founding National Library of Iran announced that more than 37 foreign ambassadors and representatives will attend the ceremony in Tehran.

LISNA 21 Feb, 2018 – According to the press release of National Library and Archives of I.R. Iran, Mozafar Pasdar Shirazi, Director of Public Relation and International Affairs stated: All the ambassadors and cultural representatives of foreign countries residing in Tehran have been invited to attend this ceremony. Up to now more than 37 ambassadors and cultural counselor have confirmed their attendance.

Pasdar Shirazi also said "We hope to see government officials, cultural and literary figures, artists and members of academic boards of the major universities on February 26."

One week of programs have been planned for the 80th anniversary of National Library of Iran this year with the main ceremony being held on Feb 26 with IFLA President, Glòria Pérez-Salmerón as one of the guests.

Unveiling some of the recently purchased manuscript by National Library of Iran as well as recently published books and honorary stamp of the anniversary is among the programs of this week.
